There are several solutions for men to resolve problems with acne scars, uneven skin, age spots and tired looking skin. Dr. Mash and her professional staff have a myriad of treatments, procedures, and products that fit the lifestyle, needs, time constraints, and budget of every individual. For example, one powerful option men find successful and effective is skin resurfacing. This occurs as a laser passes over the skin to remove selected outer layers and, through heat, stimulates the production of collagen and new skin cells in the underlying layers. Our Pixel laser allows for a smoother, tighter, and more improved skin texture after just several sessions, and may even be visible after the first session.
The procedure called Microneedling is another solution. Microneedling is a minimally invasive, in-office, skin rejuvenation treatment that improves fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks and other conditions by stimulating your skin’s natural ability to repair itself. There are several other solutions for men to resolve problems with acne scars, uneven skin, age spots and tired looking skin. Fillers like Bellafil to reduce acne scars, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy to increase collagen production, and a variety of other lasers all help in the process of smoothing skin and reducing the signs of unnessary aging of the face, neck, and hands.Schedule a complimentary consultation with us to discuss your skin condition and potential treatment plan.
Often referred to by their product names, BOTOX®, Xeomin®, and Dysport®, wrinkle relaxers are most often performed on the brow (glabella), forehead, around the eyes (crow’s feet), on the ridge of the nose (bunny lines), on the border of the lips (perioral wrinkles along the vermillion border), and neck. There is no downtime and minimal discomfort and risk. Dr. Mash and her professional injectors will help you decide which one is the best for you.
Because there are different causes of wrinkles, we need different solutions. In addition to wrinkle relaxers, most patients require dermal fillers to complete the desired results. Dermal fillers, also known as "injectables" or "soft-tissue fillers," do just what their name suggests -- they fill in the area under the skin.
In addition to wrinkle relaxers and fillers, Dr. Mash will sometimes recommend the use of Microdermabrasion and peels. The treatments are non-invasive and non-aggressive. Their improvements are progressive and cumulative. The procedure only removes the outermost layers of dead skin cells to reveal the fresher, younger cells beneath. Dry, flaking skin will be removed, fine lines and age spots may be reduced, and acne scars and stretch marks will become less obvious.
Acomplimentary consultation is recommended in order for us to recommend the best treatment plan for you. And, using our 'visualizer,' it is also possible to get a good idea of potential results!

Probably the biggest improvement a man can make to his overall appearance is tightening up the saggy skin on his face and neck. No matter how much time is spent in the gym, nothing will shape up the jowls and the skin underneath your chin that becomes loose and lax resembling turkey's wattle!
Dr. Mash has procedures to tighten, tone, and reduce those hard to treat areas.
Ultherapy is a non-surgical face treatment that uses ultrasound to actually lift and tone loose or sagging skin without any downtime. Ultherapy is the only non-invasive treatment that can specifically target the deep foundation below the skin – typically addressed in cosmetic surgery – without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin. Ultherapy uses tried-and-true ultrasound technology, which has received FDA clearance for use in this new type of medical procedure.
In addittion, Dr. Mash can inject KYBELLA™, a prescription medicine. This FDA approved medication is used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat). KYBELLA™ is safe and effective and the results are remarkable.
As we grow older, our eyelids stretch and the muscles supporting them grow weaker. The result is a surplus of fat above and below our eyelids This creates a tired and unflattering look. In addition, our constant facial movements --- smiling, frowning, talking, chewing gum --- all begin to permently etch a map of creases and deep wrinkles across our face, and seem to be most evident near and around our eyes.
One of the quickest and easiest way to look younger and get rid of the 'angry brow' look is to use what we call 'Wrinkle Relaxers.' Wrinkle relaxers are an excellent treatment option for you to create a smoother, more youthful appearing face and used to specifically reduce unwanted facial wrinkles caused by expression.
Besides making you look older, severely sagging skin around your eyes can also impair your vision. An upper eyelid lift is sometimes considered 'medically necessary' for documented patient complaints of interference with vision or visual field related activities. Difficulty reading or driving can be due to upper eye lid skin drooping, looking through the eyelids or seeing the upper eye lid skin. Often there is redundant skin overhanging the upper eye lid margin and resting on the eyelashes when gazing straight ahead. If you think your eyelid lift is medically necessary, it needs to be documented by your physician. If you need a list of physicians for your primary exam, Dr. Mash can assist you.
The Eyelid Lift (Laser Blepharoplasty) can correct sagging eyelids by removing excess skin in the upper eyelids. It can be done alone or in conjunction with other facial procedures such as laser skin resurfacing, dermal fillers & wrinkle relaxers, and/or a chemical peel.
Men are more likely to gain belly fat, or a paunch, than women. Also, when your 'love handles' are just a bit too much to 'handle' and exercise and diet still don't seem to work in any of these areas, a new FDA approved treatment called UtraShape can help men who have just a little more to lose.
UltraShape is the first and only FDA-cleared, non-invasive body shaping device for selective fat cell destruction. The UltraShape body contouring treatment uses proprietary pulsed focused ultrasound to immediately destroy fat cells – and deliver noticeable results in two weeks, without discomfort or downtime. Specifically effective for men 10-15 ponds overweight, this discreet and painless procedure consists of 3 treatments spaced 2 weeks apart.
Dr. Mash uses UltraShape to target stubborn fat in the abdomen, flanks (“love handles”), and thighs that is unaffected by diet or exercise. Unlike liposuction, UltraShape is nonsurgical –which means no incisions, anesthetics, or recovery time.
Often, both men want to remove excessive and cosmetically "unwanted" hair. Laser treatments can remove dark hair quickly, and it may take 3 to 6 months before there is regrowth in the treated areas. The number of treatments you will need will depend upon your particular hair growth cycle, the area you wish to have treated, and the hair density. Your hair grows in cycles, which include a resting phase, a growth phase, and a mature phase, when the follicle is fully formed and can be detected by the laser. In addition, the availability of follicles for destruction is further complicated by the fact that the laser slows the growing capacity of follicles in the growth phase. Not all hairs are in the same phase of the cycle at the same time. Because of these variables, we recommend at least three treatments scheduled one month apart, with some patients requiring up to six.
Laser treatments are less painful and much quicker than electrolysis. Although complications are rare, sometimes superficial burns, pigmentary changes, and even scarring may occur.Using a laser hand piece, our technician will 'trigger' beams of infra-red light into your skin, automatically targeting the hair follicles, and destroys them by the absorption and transformation of the light into heat. Our laser penetrates deeper into the skin and avoids absorption by the melanin layers, making it safe for all skin types, including dark and tanned (chemically-tanned, we hope) skin.
