Every summer I am asked the same question in many different ways: how to maintain a youthful and healthy 'glow' throughout the summer and still ENJOY the sunshine? Top oif the list of DO - WEAR SUNSCREEN! And it is important that you apply it correctly as well as choose the correct sunscreen. Use a broad-spectrum one that has an SPF 30 (or higher) and is water-resistant. Remember to apply it again every hour or so and especially after coming out of the water.

There are other things you should try to do as well. Research shows us that smoking greatly speeds up how quickly skin ages. It causes wrinkles and a dull, sallow complexion. So stop smoking ASAP.

Eat healthy! Studies suggest that eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables may help prevent damage that leads to premature skin aging. Findings from research studies also suggest that a diet containing lots of sugar or other refined carbohydrates can accelerate aging.

I know that a cold glass of your favorite wine or beer might be relaxing to you on a hot summer day, but we also now know that even moderate drinking (6-8 glasses per week) may lead to aging prematurely.
