Allumera

Cosmetic Dermatology
WHAT IS ALLUMERA?
The first in a new class of photodynamic cosmetics, Allumera is a light-activated, topical cream designed to improve the overall appearance of the skin. It has been clinically proven to:
• Minimize the appearance of pores
• Revitalize skin for a younger looking, clearer complexion
• Reduce the appearance of fine lines and crow's feet
• Improve skin firmness, creating a more supple appearance
• Improve overall skin texture
HOW DOES ALLUMERA WORK?
Allumera is a patented cosmetic formulation containing, hexylaminolevulinate HCl (HAL). HAL is an aminolevulinic acid (ALA) ester. ALAs are metabolized by cells to produce protoporphyrin IX (PpIX) which are photoreactive when exposed to certain light sources. Accumulation of PpIX in cells can result in controlled elimination (apoptosis) of superficial skin cells, including damaged skin cells. Allumera targets the superficial layers of the skin to improve the overall appearance of skin including fine lines, elasticity, skin tone, skin texture, discoloration, and pore size, with minimal downtime.

WHO SHOULD USE ALLUMERA?
Patients looking to improve the overall appearance of their skin including fine lines, elasticity, skin tone, skin texture, discoloration, and pore size, with minimal downtime.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM AN ALLUMERA PROCEDURE?
Once applied to the skin by a healthcare professional, Allumera is absorbed over a 60-minute period and then exposed to a light source for activation.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?
Once Allumera is applied, it should absorb into the skin over a 60-minute period. Light source and duration of exposure are left to the discretion of the healthcare professional based on the desired outcome of the product. In total, each procedure could last between 60 -90 minutes. A series of three procedures spaced four weeks apart is recommended.

HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS?
In clinical trials, patients receiving a series of three procedures spaced four weeks apart continued to notice aesthetic results three months after their last procedure.

The results of injections of Allumera vary from patient to patient. The best way to determine if Allumera treatments are right for you is to request a COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION.  Our Patient Care Coordinator will help you create a cosmetic plan and will assist you in making the correct choices.
